I'm trying to replace the wear bearing and am having trouble installing the O-Ring on the Ring Seal Carrier on the shaft. It all has to be installed with the shaft nearly put back in the flywheel. The O-Ring holds the Ring Seal Carrier in place. It seems impossible to place the O-Ring in the slot. Does this require a special tool or is there a special way to do this that I'm just not aware of?

Thanks

I hope you have your pump back on. You need to put the system together, with the exception of the ring clip. Once you do that, you can grab the seal carrier and boot, pull it toward the rear of your hull, then slide that clip in.

Because there are so many things to hold doing this with the shaft no being held by the PTO and impeller, it's all but impossible to put that thing on. So, make sure you have everything else done before trying to put the clip on.
