Replacement Decals

Ok..I'm restoring a pair of '94 SP seadoos. Everything is coming along fine exept I can't seam to find replacement decals...don't want fancy high tech, just somthing simple that dosen't cost $240 a ski...the Seadoo logo is no problem, can find them all day long but trying to find somthing like a simple splash graphic is proving to be the hardest part of this project. If anyone has some ideas I sure would appreciate the help.

I will work on that tonight. I should be able to get something very close. In single color. The speckled paint is too difficult to match.
 
If I could get the graphics and the SP in one color and the Seadoo logo in another...somthing that goes with the blue seat and hood...that would be great.

this is what I have so far. Ive painted it blue just for reference purposes.
I would need the size of the decal on your ski. from furthest tip left to furthest tip right and top to bottom. for both stickers. They wont be EXACT but I think they will be pretty close.
What do you think?

WOW! You work quick. The rear decal measures 29" from the left edge of the S in seadoo to the far right point of the graphic. the front decal measures 36" from top edge right to top edge left. Would it be possible to outline the lettering with a thin black line. If not, no big deal. I'm tickled with what you have done so far...guess I should ask what the price will be for 2 sets.

ok just to be sure (cuz I have customers that dont understand a "set") you wanna do 2 skis? which means 4 pieces each ski.
Normally I'd charge about $35 a ski just because of the time it takes to replicate the graphic in a single color.
Since you want 2 sets how about $55.
I can do a black outline which would be an extra $15 for both sets. So total for 2 sets with black outline would be $70. I still need to know what colors youd like. I know you said you wanted blue for the "seadoo". I dont really have a color swatch to show so just give me some kind of idea and I'll redo the pic and send you a proof before I cut them.
 
ok I did the outline and tried to include a color swatch.
I suppose I should have numbered the colors so you can tell me which box you like...

Right... 2 skis, total of 8 pieces...can't beat your price...think I would like the dark pink (the color to the left of the black on your color chart) for the graphic and the SP.The purple logo looks good.

I have purple and black will have to order the pink. I apologize I should have said before that the colors may not be exactly as shown. I will do my best to match as best I can. These are duplicated images and will not be exactly as what you already have.
I just want to make that clear so when you recieve the graphics you wont get upset if they aren't perfect.
the pink will take 3-5 days to get as they only deliver once a week here.

No rush ,that will be fine...wasn't sure what to call that color..not realy looking for pink..kinda hope it's more of a light cranberry.

no its deffin pink. Is there another color youd like. I just have reg colors in stock. Like brown blue purple ya know. nothing like cranberry or blue with hint of gray. lol
I know that swatch I sent is rather misleading but its all I had. let me see if I can get something better.

ok..lets go with purple for the logo and a blue that most closely matches the original blue for the graphic and the SP.I think that would be the blue that is # 10 from the left on your color chart.

Graphics...

I know your already in a deal with another guy and really don't want to take away from what you guys are working on but for all others that might be intersted, I found a really cheap place to get some awesome graphics for our seadoo's that is so super cheap, I bought the entire set for my GTX.

There is a super large selection of layouts to choose from. I don't think he had anything that was OEM. Everything is custom design and colors are rad...

I hope I'm not sayin or being offensive but that link was honestly not meant for you.

I read the thread, saw the details of what DnE1800twin was offering you and it reminded me of this site I had checked out for some rad graphic designs I liked and got for my ski. It was only intended as informational to all other members who might want new graphics and for you, if interested, to see some of the new colors coming out.

I read what you two were working on and would never try to step in and take away from what DnE1800twin had set up for you. His work looks awesome in it's own right. He's doing you a great service and from the pix I saw, a very awesome job. My intent was only informative and in no way, atttempting to take away his sales to you. For his low prices, I'm sure he's doing you a favor and not looking to do anything but cover his costs of doing this for you, that's great!.... I've seen so many members basically selling stuff here for free, just to help out other members and that's really cool. I myself have donated a lot of time to members by rebuilding pumps, carbs andn replacing engines, for free. I'm always given a nice tip for my service, but it's the help for the member and their gratfulness that makes me happy.

Sorry for making that post, I should have honestly started a seperate thread for it. I hope there was no offense, I honestly meant none........:cheers:

No, I'm not lookin' to make alot of money in here. Like some I'm just here tryin to give back. I've been in the Seadoo Forums for a couple weeks and have been given great advice and help so I'm just tryin to do my part. The economy sux and We're always lookin for good deals. I have the tools and the knowledge to create these graphics so I help who I can, when I can.

I'll get these graphics cut next week in the colors that closest match what you want. I'll upload a pic of them after I cut them so you can see what your getting before you buy. Let me know if PayPal is ok if not we'll work something out.

As far as any other thread goes... I'll be happy to help if anyone wants cutom logos or different fonts for their Doo's. I'm a graphics designer and a window tinter. I've been doing this locally and in Palm Beach for almost 10 yrs. So pass the word if anyone has something special they want.

this is what Ive designed for my boat. Its not on yet because I'm workin on getting the boat back in shape first.
I can design pretty much whatever you can come up with. Or if you see something you like I can usually duplicate it.
