Long story short, I have spent a good deal of money trying to repair a slow water leak in my 1997 GS. Took it to the shop and they said they fixed it, took it out last weekend and it took on water. Pulled it out of the river and watched water stream out from behind the right side sponson. It was so loose that I could move it up and down about an inch with just my hand. Below are picks of the damage. I am wondering what I can use to patch the damage to the hole. I am thinking of plugging the whole with JB WATERWELD, redrilling a hole and reattaching the sponson. Also, seems like this was an issue that a previous owner had since the rear most hole has been filled in. Is three bolts going to be enough to prevent this happening again? I have had the ski over 5 years and it just happened at the end of last season. Finally, when reattaching the sponson should I use some kind of gasket maker around the holes?
Thank you for your help.
