Hey All,

I got the okay to sell my gti, only reason I'm "allowed" to sell it is because its to a relative and the woman can use it whenever she wants. As some of you may know I needed to to do headwork and timing chain on it. The magneto housing gasket was in really good shape so I reused it (feel free to rag on me I know I deserve it) it has a extrememely minor oil leak, but since I'm selling it I want to replace it. Is it easier to remove the engine to replace or can it be done with it (engine) still in the hull. Any experience is appreciated!!

Thanks!

just got done with replaceing the fly wheel bolts
DONT pull the motor mounts off the hull just the singal
bolt in the center of each motor mount other wise
you will have to re-align the motor

pull the intake first and then the valve cover and brake loose
the head bolts if you are removing the head,
then the motor mounts
I lifted it up put a peace of plywood on the ski and did my work
on top of the ski and it all went fine
drain the oil I didnt untill i pulled the side cover
well ya, you can imagin quick pan some mess
