Hi guys, im new to the site. I have a 2000 RX carby Millenium Edition Sea Doo which i've just fixed the carbies and refitted however tightening the nut that holds the header pipe on is almost impossible to tighten. The allen key botls are no drama its just this one nut on the underside of the header pipe i simply can not tighten. Any ideas or tips would be appreciated. I really do not want to have to remove the carbies again if i can help it.

I can see this site is going to be a massive information source however a search did not bring any thing up for me on this issue.

Cheers

there is a special tool for it, but I never use it. just unbolt the 4 main carb bolts and let them hang, you will have plenty of room to torque that nut properly and it is important to have all 4 tightened to proper torques.

thanks ski-doo, i figured the carbs would have to come off again just not looking forward to doing the job.

Cheers for the speedy response

takes 2 minutes to unbolt them, don't remove any cables or hoses, just let the carbs hang and you'll have plenty of room.
