Red cap on flush fitting question

Do you guys think that if you dont have the red cap on flush fitting on while riding a ski the water can flow into the hull through it???

i leave mine off and theres no more or no less water in the hull than normal

The flush fitting is looped with the motor cooling water,so no water would get in.:thumbsup:

The red cap is cosmetic... and to keep junk out of the valve. It's not needed.
