I made such a rookie mistake and didn't label the wires. There is the red of course then the three yellows now 2 are male to female and 1 is female to male so I have a 50/50 on it but what will happen if I get it wrong? Or do I need to figure it out first?

bump.. anyone. i have a pwc manual only didnt get one with the boat but is the wiring going to be the same?

Manuals

If the pwc manual is of the same year and engine size, then your mag and charging circuit are the same.

No prob

they only made three different ignitions, in your year, only two. But they are motor specific. I think your red wire is your lightning coil. Look at your wire diagram and make sure you have the same number wires and colors.

If something doesn't add up, let me know. My seaon is slowing down a bit so I might be able to look the drawing up for you and help you out....

what would really help me is if you can look at my thread it is electiric of fuel thats where this started. i have a boat that runs great on trailer and not worth crap in the water. compression is 140, new carbs. battery tested at 12.45v at idle and 12.74 at 5500rpms, so thats why i swapped rectifiers. i thought it didnt have a good spark so it wont run under load but thanks for your help man:rofl:

well with new rectifier and wires hooked up properly im still not breaking 13v on the battery at 5500 rpms or even at 6500. so what does that mean?

brand new it has 12.45v and 574 amps. i wonder if the stator is bad or has metal shavings in it if that could be my problem. if the stator is going bad will it do the same thing?
