Rectifier Question

I was told at the Seadoo shop that i would have to hook it up to the computer and have the codes cleared or something like that after changing the Rectifier. Is this a fact? If not, i am going to flip on the guy at the shop if he was not telling me the truth. Someone with some knowledge of this please let me know asap, headed there after work. Thanks guys

Flip him of. I changed my rectifier and didt have any problems after that
