Motor starts right up, everything seems good. I hook up the water..start the ski..turn the water on slow...then I can hear it rushing inside the ski..I feel around all over...then it dawns on me...I forgot to hook up those two clear hoses that are on the cyl jugs...you know the ones that are pretty much impossible to get to. any ideas on how to get them connected withou starting all over?

Took all the exhaust out to get to it..that sucked!! but its all better now.

I keep searching for the proper way to break in the new top end but cant find it.

Everyone has there own way of doing it. heres one way http://www.fullboreonline.com/tech_tips.htm i didnt do it that way but it was pretty similar I did I believe let it run idle for about 5 min to make sure it gets to normal temp then gunned it full throttle and counted 1 one thousand all the way up till 10 then let go of throttle and waited about a min then did that like 30 times and thats it..

I use the "break it in hard" method. My engines allways run great, and have very little blow-by.

First... I fire it up to make sure things are pumping, and running properly with no leaks. (For a ski... do this in the water, but still on the trailer)

Next... get it up to temp... and open the throttle for about 5 to 10 seconds... followed by a long closed throttle deceleration. This creates high vacuum in the engine, and forces the rings to seat completely. Do this 3 or 4 times, and head back to shore to check over the engine.

If everything is good, and no adjustments need to be done... just go out and ride the ski like normal. after the initial full throttle blasts... you want to NOT hold the throttle in any one position for very long. (keep changing RPM's)

Oh... you will also want to run the first 2 tanks of fuel with a little extra oil. I recommend 2 oz/gal. (in a boat, one tank is fine)

what do you mean by long closed throttle deleration....do you mean after I hold it wide open for 5 to 10 sec then just let off competley, till it comes to a stop ....then accel hard for 5 to 10 sec again?
