Rave Valve Leaking???

Well I just got my 96 XP started and on the water for the first time this season. She started up with no problem once I put in some fresh gas, fresh plugs, and charged the battery. I was out on the water for about two hours. When I came back to shore I was looking on the inside to see if there was anything wrong. What I noticed was a dark black film forming around one of the rave valves. At first I thought it was the gasket but once I took the top off I could then tell it was not the gasket.
I'm not to sure what could be causing this issue but any type of insight would be a great help!!!

dude super easy no sweat... just dont tighten the nut too tight... the 10mm get it as tight as you can with ur hands will be good

Mine have been leaking for two years. It runs rich so it doesnt take long after a good cleanup for both to start leaking again.
