Okay so at the end of last season the rave valve had melted a hole on the plastic cap the valve screws too well I replaced them this season and this is what happened. It had no top end power what so ever either. got home and this is what I’m looking at now.. any idea why it is getting so hot that it is melting the cap .

Any one know why the rave valve is getting so hot it keeps melting the plastic cap.

Either the valve shaft is worn or the housing or both if replacing the o-ring didn’t work.

Also never seen yellow caps, they are always black in my experience.

Yeah the black ones I ordered the hole to thread on the valve was too small and these were the other option. Also seen some aluminum ones. I couldn’t find the ones that originally was in it.

Question, are the valve suppose to be a snug fit into the cylinder or are they suppose to have some wiggle room.?
