Random beep with no icon on dash

Hi folks
Got a 2008 rxt-x 255 that will beep randomly when out on the water. No lights come on, full of fuel etc..
Engine will kind of lag until you really gun it at max throttle a few times. After that the beeps stop? Seems like this only happens after its been sitting around for a few days without anyone really giving it max RPMs.
Anyone ever experienced this and/or knows what it could be? Seems to really beep alot when coming to a stop and then randomly out when cruising. Thanks!

Could be an Oil Pressure Switch starting to go bad. Easy and cheap place to start.

A little background on my theory:

A while back, I noticed my check engine light/indicator sporadically flashing. There were no beeps, as would be usual with a check engine issue.
There were no codes displayed or retrievable.

I just happened to notice it while checking my speed in a no wake zone.

Otherwise, the ski ran perfectly.

Then, a few rides/hours later the OPS did fail with a full fledged CIL and code.
