I have a 98 seadoo challenger 1800 and I was wondering if the battery charges while the engine is running? I have this fear of running the battery down with the radio, my daughters love to rock out while on the water.

It is supposed to charge and mine has no problems when running. Be sure to use the power cut off switch to the battery when it is not running. My radio draws power when the boat is at the dock, but I have heard tha this is a newer boat problem. It may not affect you.

What good is the ride without tunes anyway?

I didn't know there was a power kill switch on the boat. The voltmeter is a great idea, I will look into that.

you may want to check your automatic bilge pump switch. they are wired in before the master cutoff switch. just adding because thats what was drawing my battery dead while it was out of the water even though the master was off.

sorry for the hijack:svengo:
