I own a Seadoo Gtx 260 is 2014 and I have been looking into a free flow exhuast mod but they do not make one for my ski and not only that but i have seen these mods cost up to 250$! So I plan on making my own by removing the water box and replacing it with a pipe. The question is, Will this damage the ski in anyway and will this void the warrenty on my ski?

Some day I hope to see side-exit exhaust on a jet ski, still haven't seen that yet. Personally, I view the waterbox as important from the perspective it provides a temporary location (in a low spot) for water to pool in the exhaust.

I'm really not sure if Bombardier would bounce a warranty claim back on the dealer for water intrusion, I suspect they might.

If you want it to be loud, and for cheap, remove the exhaust resonator and replace it with a piece of pipe. It's the plastic box on the right side of the ski. The metal muffler (waterbox) on the left side of the ski is important to keep unless you are fabricating a full exhaust system (usually only done when switching to turbocharger)

Re your side exit.

I've seen one. The guy actually had it exit out of one side of his opas block off. He was using RE's and the exit was completely hidden. He even filmed the result on the water. It was quiet. Never woulda known where it was unless you were at idle and seen one opas moving a bit of water. I still would like to run that. RE's are no longer made so would require getting lucky to find a set for sale or fabbing my own. Would take a bit of shopping around for exactly the right turning bends as well.

But....it is possible and has been done.
