Hey guys having a problem with my VTS on my 97 GSX. I can get it to work but only one way. Either I can get the trim to go up or unplug the wires and have the wires crossed to have the males and females matching each other and I can adjust the trim back to the middle position. I'm wondering what exactly goes wrong with this system and what I can do to fix the problem.

Thanks

Nick

The reed switches inside the vts module deteriorate and all you can do is replace the vts houseing.

So in other words the cost of replacing the whole housing is not worth what the adjustable trim gives. Is there a better position that the vts should be set like in the all up position or all down or should it be just in the middle?

I have the same ski. Personally I've found that I have mine set 1 notch above level (as indicated on the dash) and rarely adjust it. If the water is really choppy I may go 1 notch below center. I'm curious what other people have to say about it. Unlike the trim on my boat where a minor adjustment makes a huge difference, I really don't notice that much of a difference on the ski.

thetrimfix is an option. go to pwctoday and look it up. others have just bypassed the vts module by using a dual polarity, +12v/-12v car door relay to operate the motot, however this way the gauge will not work. i actually prefer the vts and the range of adjustment. here's a good link to trouble shoot : http://www.sea-doo.net/techarticles/vts/index.html

My VTS stopped working as well so I set it at 0 deg. I adjust my bow height by sitting my arse at various positions on the seat until I can get her up and planing!
As we say in the Blackhawk community..."it's a technique!"

what does the vts do besides direct water flow up or down? if it is set all the way down does it give more get up and go but not as much top end or am i completely off
