I am replacing my jet pump on my 97 gti with another pump off another 97 gti, the problem is the one im replacing my old one with has the 3 plastic water tubes and the new one im putting on dont have them only orings where it goes against the back plate, what can i do just take the tubes off and use the orings because those black tubes wont go all the way in the holes anyhow, any help would be appreciated thanks alan.

Tony hey i will try to post some pics, im not to sure how to yet on this site i will figure it out though, i just cant figure out why one has those tubes and the other just seals aginst the back with o rings! just strange i didnt want to do anything wrong you know thanks alan.

It sounds like you got a pump from a boat... not another GTi.

I'm assuming that the 2 hoses with O-rings are where the bailers are supposed to be. But the only seadoo without bailers are the boats. (They have an electric pump) That's why I want to see a picture.

No its exactly like the one i took off only it has the tubes coming out instead of just orings, i will post some pics as soon as i can thanks again tony!

On your old pump look at the bailer lines, I'm thinking that while the pump is off the plastic line set can slide off the pump. You might need to just switch from old pump to new.

ok so your saying im prob ok with just the o ring application ? maybe my pump was a newer model that dont need the hard lines it just seals with the orings ok thanks!

both plastic, only diffrence is one i took off has a brass section inside and other one is plastic but still identical
