Quick question. I'm new and I would like to pull a tube with my two boys. What size tube can I pull with a gti 130. Yes I know I should only pull one child but they are young and will be keeping speed low.

Thanks for help.

I'm not sure what size tube you can pull but keep in mind that you also need a spotter to keep an eye on the boys while you pull them. Some states require it so you may want to keep that in mind.

We have a 'fuel' brand triple tow tube behind our gti 130. It'll pull me and two other guys my size no worries at all. We all weigh between 85kg to 100kg. So nearly 300kg all up with the tube. It's got plenty of power for a big tube so go for it.

For small kids you'll not have any problems at all as they won't have enough mass to turn the rear of the ski. Larger adults/heavier loads obviously are going to have more 'pull' to overcome, both in the initial launch and then when you're carving essess. I've seen tubes with heavy adult riders yank a 'ski around and dump the driver.

Thanks for the information. My two boys don't weigh 110 lbs together and it will be wife spotting. We just wanted a tube were there was a back for the kids to lean against. Thanks for the info.

Whatever you get, make sure it's a 3-seater: one for the driver, one for the spotter, and one for the tuber if something happens and they need to get on board.

^^^ This is a good point I regret to admit, so many places now require the vessel pulling the tube can seat all passengers onboard (in your case four) to tow vessel.

Violate this rule and suffer death by firing squad, b/c someone has determined in advance you have no ability to make decisions despite you can swim to shore, have life vests and it's not illegal to swim across the lake anyway (yet).

Safety rules and regulation don't just happen because. They happen because a multiple of events created the need. I did 23 years in the Coast Guard and can't tell you the quantity of carelessness and neglect I have seen. And it doesn't have to be on your end. You can do everything right and still be the one that suffers in the end.

My point. It is a blast to watch the kids in a the tube. But in the event you do have an emergency you will be very hard pressed to get everyone one on the ski to get to the shore where the help is.

This is experience talking, not attitude. Three seater skis don't just keep you legal, they are larger and safer for a reason.

Like riding a motorcycle. You need to ride with your head on a swivel to keep out for those that don't consider your kids their issue,,,,

I absolutely know I need a 3 person pwc but I thought the gti was. Second, I agree you can't control others. So thanks and I appreciate the advice.
