Pulling a tube

I have a 1999 gti, and I want to tow a tube with it.

Can I attach the rope to the metal hook on the back? Or will it just rip out of the fiberglass ?

Should I attach the rope to the handle on the back of the seat instead ?

Seat handle for getting yourself on ONLY. As long as your not towing something insane heavy you should be fine.

My kids have towed everything you can imagine, once a upside down picnic table went past with kids on that thing - the metal hook is the way, use some floatation to keep the rope from crawling underneath and meeting the driveshaft, a 50ft rope with some water pipe foam sleeves works fine, swiming pool noodles work also.
