Hey everyone I am new here and never been on a forum before so if I post in wrong place tell me.
Well let's get to the point. I have been around skis and boats my whole life but have always been family owned so never had to work on them. I have a 1995 hx and last night I was messing around when it just made a grinding noise and stopped goin. So upon further investigation I found that the coupler connecting the two shafts together had broke the rubber piece was warn and it broke both of the coupler ends. So with that said how do I get the shaft out to repair it. I have everything torn down and can move the shaft in and out bur that's it.
Thanks cody. Sorry for long post.

Cody,
Sorry I can't help you with your problem. You probably should have posted in the troubleshooting section.
With that being said someone who knows something will probably answer pretty soon. The guys on here monitor all of the different sections and pretty much answer all of the new posts but sometimes it takes a day or so.

Good Luck

to remove the pto, you'll need to stuff some rope down the plug hole. Make sure the piston is on its up stroke, and pass the exhaust port. Then get chain pipe wrench/pipe wrench and turn counterclockwise.

To remove the middle driveshaft, thats under the tank, you can remove the pump assy, and its guts from under the back hatch or pull motor(my choice), and go from there.

BTW, saw ur "username", think you can shoot a brutha some tips on my "thread"...."off topic" section, 7.3l diesel, thread...

theres 2-shafts bud. The impellor driveshaft, or the linkage driveshaft...which one you need removed?

its the rear shaft I need to pull out. Everything on it is loose I can move it in and out just can't seem to get any thing off
