Hi,
I have to open my bottom end to replace PTO Crank seal. (97 GSX 787)
Engine is out and I'm at the point where i have to remove the PTO. I don't have a flywheel holder for the mag side. Wondering if anyone has any advice how to go about this without causing damage?
In small engines I've used rope in the cylinder to hold the engine before but I'm not familiar with these and have read that the PTO can be on there quite tight...
Is it safe to use rope in the cylinder? are the rods strong enough to handle this? There was an SBT video on youtube (it was old though) where a guy stuffed a rag in the exhaust port, not sure how i feel about that.
Any other alternatives that people can suggest?.
