Proper Oil gas mixture ratio on 2001 RX

Just had block plate installed on my 2001 RX and have been told several different oil gas ratio mixtures. What is the proper mix? 40:1....50:1...Thanks!

Just curious why you removed the oil injection? 40:1 Should be fine but you still need to use only SeaDoo approved oils.

Oil tank has been replaced twice and now the connection for the oil line was broken, that now needed replacement so my mechanic recommended using the block plate and go pre-mix. I have had a lot of issues with the oil lines and the tank the past several years.

40:1 is the "standard"

I've seen people run 32:1 and 50:1 and get away with it, (but I hated riding behind the 32:1 guys)

But 40:1 is what I've been told for the longest time and I ran that for years.

40:1 is a good safe call IMO, but you'll use almost 2x more oil than with the injection system.

And I'd have a hard time using that premixed fuel in anything beside a lawnmower if you decide it's gotten too stale, burning that mix in a car is good way to clog the cat converter.

don't forget, you still need to keep oil in the lines even if you just loop it with a T flush fitting and top it off now and then.

(to other members ? you still need to loop the lines on a 951 right ? ) I only did premixed 787's, never did a 951.

No, 951's do not have a rotary valve or any oil needed in the cases like all the smaller seadoo's. The tank and lines can be completely removed if the oil pump is removed.

although, I still prefer the oil injection Just burned through 2 gallons already this season.
