Programing Keys

Hi All,

I import and sell a number of Seadoo Boats each year and until recently had not had problem with DESS keys as they had all arrived with them but the last one did not have so I had to go and get one programmed and this week we have just got in two more both of which the Freight Company have lost the DESS keys. We have another arriving in January which they have already informed me that they have yet again lost it..

So I have three boats that I need to get keys for...

I was reading through the Service manual earlier and it describes how to Program the DESS Key. I have searched online and have found that the VCK (Vehcile Comunication Kit) is available for about $600.00

If I was to purchase this is there anything else I need to program a Key? other then the DESS Key it self of coarse

The Last one cost me almost $200.00 to get done so If get the VCK then I might be better off

By the way the boats are all 4-tec, Speedster, Sportster and a Challenger

you could fly me down there and i would do it for free LOL
and yes this is what you need to program keys
anyway, never knew that the vck kit was available on line?
this is a dealer only item, maybe this is old dealer stock?
you need the new style MPI kit
and every so often it will need to be updated with a new pass code
this code you must get from brp themselves
i do this for a friend in the UK
MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT KIT FOR THE 4 TECS
