Problem with gas gauge

I have a 1998 GTX Limited. Sometimes the gas gauge works fine, but other times it shows that I have less gas than I actually do. It even sometimes sounds the beeper indicating that I am near empty. Does anyone know what part is causing the problem? Can I fix the part or do I need to replace it? Thanks in advance for any input.

Sounds like your float is bad. Seadoo sells a replacement one that is much better.
