I ride fresh water all the time, and with exception to the Kissimmee River, we rarely if ever see Gators. However, if you ride the K, or the St. John's you'll see many, and big ones, on a 30 mile ride its not uncommon to see 50-60 that are 5' or bigger, and a number of 8'-10', they don't bother you unless you bother them so no worries, but its good for the adrenaline rush.

I read something the other day that said GM were going to start selling the Aussie utes as Pontiacs over there soon, so you all may be able to get a ute or sports pickup.
Mine is only the SS and its an '08, above the standard Holdens there is HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) which have the Maloo:

They were supposed to come into the USA under the Pontiac label. It's from a collaboration of GM and vauxhall. For the guys here... it's basically the Pontiac G6, cut into an El Camino. But, it was shot down since the USA market doesn't like small trucks. (or at least they tell us that)

that was the rumor, but unfortunately pontiac got killed off in the bailout. both pontiac and saturn went the way of the oldsmobile. they kept buick because apparently its a prestige name in china.

The rivers in Pitt will get UGLY after a hard storm... and they take a while to clear up. But regardless... even on good days, you can only see a few feet into the water.
