Please help!!! Seadoo rxdi idle problem!

I just purchased a new ski, 2001 RXDI, and the original owner had replaced the pistons and cylinders. I had purchased the ski, and the ski now has an idle problem right after the start up. The original owner suggested that the cylinder base gasket could be the issue. Is this the possible issue, or could there be other problems causing this problem. I appreciate the help!

discribe your problem more indepth, it is hard to diagnose when you dont know what the fault is.

Not in the water and the ski will not come back down to idle, or idle correctly. It was suggested that the ski is running lean due to an air leak, I just want to make sure the problem is an easy fix and not an expensive one.

it could be the base gasket, also first check any seals between the carbs like cracks in any rubber joints or fittings and that all connections between engine and carbs are secure and air tight.

If it idles o.k. in the water, and you're having no other problems, I would forget it. It's practically impossible to analyze problems on the trailer.
