Where the two pipes connect with the big clamp do I need a sealant at that joint or gasket sealer or just nothing? Please help. Thanks

Yes... there is a gasket, and a sealant for the pipe joint.

I received a complete install gasket kit from sbt. Is that gasket in there maybe? Is it an o-ring or something? Can I just use silicone around the joint or what would you reccomend? I appreciate the help! You have gave me some good advice before. Thanks man. I just want to be sure I do it right. Thanks

I just looked and the gasket is still there and looks good it had some kind if orange sealant around it also felt like silicone. What do you recommend I use? Thanks again.

You could clean it, and put on High-Temp RTV. But... it may not seal if the gasket is already crushed.

We normally recommend people NOT take the pipe apart at that joint during pipe removal, because it's hard to reseal.
