Yesterday we went to the lake. After 1 our of boating. I heard an scratching sound. The bilge was full of water and it wat a little bit brown. Set the bilgepump on. It went out. Saw than that a water line that sits on the exhaust (small one was of). I repaired it and everything was fine. Until one hour later an oil warning light came on. After 5 minutes i was at the boat ramp. I trailert it went home. I did an flush with 3 new litres of oil. Set it in the garage and all oil was out 2 hours later! I looked in the engine compartment and saw the oil line the one on the top (reverse line) It looked like it was a little bit burned against the exhaust. There is a very small hole in the line i think 2 mm. Is this the problem? Checked every other line. All are good. Is it possible to lose so much oil in so short time? Hope you can help me! Sorry for bad english.

your English is fine.

To be safe... I would just change all the oil lines on the engine. They have a tendency of splitting when they get old. And for the hour of time, and the few $$$ it cost for new hoses... it's not worth loosing an engine.

Thanks for the quick reply. I just replaced the line. Do you know the function of the reverse line on the top of the oil reservoir? Tomorrow i gonna buy some new Bombardier oil. On this moment there is no oil in the reservoir. Is there air in it? Do i have to get that out or is it just put new oil in it?

The hose coming out the back, and going into the top of the tank is a "Return" line from the center gears. The hoses from the center section don't need to be bled. They will fill as long as the tank has oil.

The hose feeding the injection pump MUST be bled if there is air in it.

Just putted new oil in it. I think 0,7 gallon. The indicator on the reservoir is now above minimum. Still have an oil warning light. I havent startet it yet. The return oil line as high as the reservoir is but not to the top is this the problem? Do i have to put extra oil in it and start it of do i have to start then it reset? Hope someone can help.
