periodic beeps with no warning

Just got the 98 gsx limited on the water after 10 years. It beeps once every 2+ minutes with no signal warnings on the digital gauge. When I fall off, its harder to start( battery struggles to turn over the motor and then the battery light comes on. Then I try again and it cranks perfect with no battery light.
Seems to have plenty of battery power and the terminals are clean and tight. Any suggestions? Would the beep be the same issue?

Check the ground wire on the engine side..make sure its clean and tight and check that the wire is not junk(corroded and discolored)

Yep... I would remove, clean, and reinstall all the grounds. Also... check the charging output. Start the ski, with a meter on the battery. Bring it up to 5000 rpm's. You should see 13.5 to 14.5 volts.
