Sorry, just figured out that the engine is a 787X, which for all of you seadoo nerds is the cool limited production engine. The engine comes with the stator and flywheel I forgot to mention

Lol you only ask for things I dont have! I think i just threw that in with the ski when someone picked up the hull for free! Also gave away the steering as well! Man im not too good at this!

Exhaust pipe mount bushings? Umm i think it would probably be cheaper buying them from SBT I may keep these as spares.

Ill sell the exhaust tho with the bushings lol

Hi Chris,

Well, I went riding today and cracked the port (left) sponson on my 96GSX, so if you still have the sponsons I'll take both. PM me.

Thanks,

Lou

Because they all break because they are hollow. You need to fill them with either spray foam or some tyoe of filler before you install a new set.

Does anyone know if a set of black sponsons from another model will fit the 96GSX, mine have faded to almost a teal color and I would rather have black.

Lou

Lou, You can use the sponsons from a 99 gsx. I will fill them with a 2 part closed cell high density foam. I bought 5 gallons of the stuff when my BIL and I redid the stringers of my boat. I will mix the 2 parts togethor and just put a small anount in the cavity, this stuff expands like crazy and sticks to anything. Then i will shave the excess off.

That closed cell foam does absorb water, regardless of what they say. If you have done boat stringers and replaced water logged foam before you will agree. Lou maybe you can move the last few posts to a new thread since we are kinda hijacking this one with a new topic.

Closed cell foam will not absorb water unless the individual cells break down. They have done test where they will put the foam in jars full of water for years at a time and there was no absorbtion. If the foam is surrounded by brozen water it may break down but as long as the foam does not break down it will not absorb water, 2 part polyeurathane foam is some cool stuff, some manufacturers use the stuff for packaging as well.

The foam surrounding my stingers was not a closed cell foam and when removing the old foam peices it was like picking up pillows that were at the bottom of a pool.
