Painting handle grips on 2001 Challenger 2000?

This is my first post and I apologize in advance if it is a dumb one, but after scrubbbing these grips with everything I could think of and they still look dirty. Does anyone know if it is possible to paint the handle grips and if so any suggestions on what type of paint? I appreciate any advice concerning this. Thanks.

Yes you can. use a good quality vinyl paint.

But, the handles are generic. you can find them on eBay for about $10 each. (do a search for boat handle)
