Painting a seadoo???

I own a 98 gsx limited. The red and purple paint scheme. I love the ski but the colors are.. well.. I want to change it... lol I want to either keep the red hull and have the purple painted flat black, or paint the whole ski gloss black and do a Monster Energy drink paint scheme. What are your suggestions? Also the bumper that goes all around my ski is purple.. Is there a company that sells them in black? Or maybe a different year seadoo that came with a black bumper that would fit my 98 gsx limited?? Thanks!!

Either scheme is in the realm of possibilities. Flat is in right now, but will it be in 1-2 yrs? Pagan green looks awesome on black. You could go with the flat black and then gloss clear and green and then throw on some pin stripes. The whole rat rod type look.

Pretty straight forward to do it.

Look around for rub rails, I don't know what colors came on what models, but one might have come black. These would be near impossible to keep paint on. You could get the color to flex, but the moment you rubbed it, the color would come off.

Rub rail...?

You can google "rub rail" and find about 3 or 4 sites that sell many different types, sizes and colors for your ski. You'll need to measure the depth of your rail from the lip in and then, measure the width.

I can tell you this, I hope you got a deep pocket. Changing all your rub rail is expensive.:cheers:
