So I know continuous beeping means the engine is overheating...but the beeping starts like 20 secs after I turn the engines on...what could it be?

had same problem

I had the same problem on my 95 Sportster (717) and shortly there after the exhaust clamp on the tuned pipe snapped. Got a new one (off the shelf from diesel parts supplier) and no problem now. Not an expert but would check out the overheat sensor if it is going off with a cool engine

have you tried back flushing? or checking your water intake hose for a blackage? will the boat overheat on the hose or just in the water?

I'm not sure what back flushing is, sorry. Can you enlighten me?

I have never flushed it (see my I'm a moron thread haha) but it does it in the water. My boat is docked.

Jerboats are not meant to be kept In the water 24/7. You need to find a lift or keep it on a trailer and flush the boat after ever use, otherwise it's gonna be worthless with time. Especially if you use the boat in salt water... Then you flush with saltaway after ever use, and wash the boat down including motor. Then once it's dry spray the engine/electronics/any thing that is metal or that moves/ steering cable with crc 656

:Warning: Only do what I tell you with your boa if you care about it.
