Overfilled gas tank

Ever since I overfilled my gas tank my 95xp has run like crap.Could fuel have gotten in the vent lines and caused the ckeck valves to stick?I used to hav e a bit of pressure in the tank, but not now.The vent line where the hood latches should let pressure in but not out, correct. The one by the rub rail lets pressure out but not in,I think.Would the improper operation of these check valves cause a loss in performance?Thanx for any help in advance.

I think it's just a coincidence that it's running bad, after an overfill.

If the vent was damaged in some way... it could cause an issue, but that valve gets wet with fuel all the time.

OK,I guess I'll look elsewhere for my problem.Starting with the carbs, even though the were rebuilt recently, maybe some crap was left somewhere when I changed the fuel lines.

Oh,I forgot to mention.Isn't the fuel tank supposed to be under a bit of pressure to aid in fuel delivery. No pressure = less fuel.
