I've been thinking it over and I decided I am going to fix my 96 GTX.
Now I am trying to weigh the options of buying a crank from Pro Caliber (thanks Mikidymac) and getting the top end done by full bore. 350 for the crank and about 350 for the top end because I think the cylinders are already at .040 over and they say you have to go with the more expensive Woessner or Pro-x pistons to go beyond that without resleeving. I'd be fixing it myself = no warranty and I'd have to buy all of the sealers, outer crank seals and shipping the cylinders to/from full bore. My guess is I'd probably have at least 900 in it by the time I was done.
Full bore has their winter special going on right now 787 Platinum rebuild for 1099. I'd have to pay the shipping to Full Bore and I think they will pay the shipping back + 3 year warranty.
I think this is a no brainer, but wanted to get some other opinions. I've heard good things about the work Full Bore does.
Thoughts?
