I will try and kill a few birds with one stone here.

My ski hits peak about 57...the while I am still at WOT...very intermittent hesitation. (almost a bog feeling).I cant tell if choppy water causes it or if that is just a coincidence. Still starts good..idles good...accelerates good..even wide open is good for the most part...........then things got worse today....running pretty much WOT...then it started bogging a little....then died and info gauge shut off like I pulled the lanyard....started right back up...very sluggish acceleration...then the same thing...did this about 8 times (withing about 50 ft each time). I happen to have another key with me...put that in...ski still kinda boggy but not real bad at all, and it did not die again.....Now when I got home, I did the following...check my fuel filter, and it was slightly seeping...then I took my Rave Valves out and man where those things gross, not sure why I was so scared of doing those now. I noticed they never have been done before, because the factory paint was still in the Allen bolts....One of them was missing the spring, so I replaced that...I cleaned the flame arrestor screen. I also did a compression test and I am almost 170 on the back and 155 on the front. I still feel like the whole key thing was just a coincidence but any info would be great.

Sounds like 3 problems...

1) bad contact on the key. (that's the shut-off)

2) Leaking fuel filter. (The system uses suction, so a small leak can cause a loss of fuel pressure at the carb)

3) Dirty RAVE's. (they cause top-end probs)

Clean all 3, and tell us how it's running. BUT... regardless, if you have a top-end bog, be careful not to roast your engine.

Finally, if you have issues from choppy water... the engine will rev high, and never feel "Boggy."
