OK next set of problems-cavitation

I got the boat running thanks for all your help with the solenoid.

I have an 05 RXT that has no top end power. When I first bought the boat it was very quick off the line but now it takes forever to come on plane. The boat accelerates normally after that. When I hit the gas I can hear and feel the boat cavitating. I took it to the shop and the dealer said that it needed a new wear ring as well as the impeller needed to be machined. I let them do the work which was $538 and it did not fix the problem.

I am planning on taking it back to the shop but I was wondering if anyone else had any insight as to what this problem might be.

The shop should take care of the problem. It sounds like the jet pump is sucking air as it wasn't installed and sealed properly. You paid top dollar for that repair. Have them take care of it.
