i just bought a 1996 gti seedoo would it be a good idea to bypass the auto oiler and just premix myself?

The Seadoo oil injector is very reliable if it's maintained. I would check over all the hoses to look for leaks or being brittle. Make sure the injection nipples are clear... and change the oil filter. (it's in line on the feed hose)


So... I would say "No"... do not remove it.

I did the bypass on my GTI....then after awhile I really wish I left it alone...so on my GTX I left it stock and just keep a eye on the system.
