Oil Questions

I recently purchased a 1995 speedster from a guy who had owned it since new. He gave me a full jug of the oil he had been using since new and I just discovered the it is XPS mineral. Should I continue to use this oil or should I be switching to synthetic? I've read that these engines require synthetic but then why would the dealership that he purchased it from recommend this?

Our 96' Speedster has also ran XPS mineral from day 1 with no issues.

If your engine is used to running a specific oil, stick to it so as not to cause more problems. Don't keep changing back and forth.
