Oil line material

I want to replace the main oil line, from the tank to the pump on my 951. Is that a standard vinyl material?

Thanks,

Mike

I suggest using Tygon F-4040-A with 3/32 inside diameter if available, I think it will hold up better than standard vinyl. 3/32 will be a tight fit on the barb fittings, it's slightly smaller than the OEM metric tubing, which I think was actually 3mm. My understanding is 1/8" id is too large for the barb fittings.

Just fyi from trying to use the 1/8" first time around.
Yes 1/8 is too big and sloppy on the fittings. Plus the tygon feels more like a hydraulic line with almost no give to it.

Tygon F-4040-A is yellowish-green colored, tough, soft and pliable much like surgical tubing. It's not a braided laminate so I won't use it for more than a few PSI above atmospheric pressure(this is well below it's rating), and for below deck I won't use it for fuel line (not A1 marine fire rated).

F-4040-A will work great for our oil lines, it's made specifically for low permeation and constant hydrocarbon exposure.
