Hi all i have oil in my engine bay not a lot but it is there so i have a few questions . Firstly it is a 2000 rfi gsx. There is an oil line from the resevoire thick one that goes under the motor , what is that for ?
On the oil resevoire there is a pipe coming out of the top with a one way vavle ( i think it is a breather ) is there suppose to be a pipe connected to the end of the valve and vented out . ( thinking oil could be comming out of this valve) .
Can i switch to premix as i feel bit at ease this way ?
Sorry for so many question as i am new.
Thanks

There is a breather hose. That one is just open.

The big hose going to your crack case, is to feed oil to the rotary valve gears.

If the oil showed up all of the sudden... you need to find the leak so you don't destroy the engine from lack of oil. The common place for oil to leak is at the fittings at the tank. The other place is the small injection hoses. If one of ht einjection hoses are leaking... you will cook the engine. We recommend changing the filter, and the injection hoses every other year.

Thanks for that reply . As under stand there should be a hose coming of the oil resiviore for a breather but where does it go?
Thanks
