I've split the top o-ring on the oil filter housing. I was able to source a 2 3/8" ID o-ring locally but it's 3/32 thick. The OEM is only 1/16" thick. In reading some past posts it appears the top ring is just a secondary seal under that cap.
Has anyone seen or used the thicker o-ring directly under the cap. Local dealer wants $11 for the OEM version. That's just nuts. Bottom line is a good seal and no oil spitting I should be good ....right ?
I'll order some extras but they are less than $3 just about everywhere but I'd prefer to get it going today.
