I have 73 ours on my ski and this will be my 4th oil change I believe, do you guys do it every season or at the suggested hours? And also will it harm it if I don’t do it every season

Per the maintenance schedule in your Operators Manual it’s 100hrs or 1 year for the oil change. I would say most operators change oil every year especially if it’s under a warranty. Will it do harm? Well we do know it won’t do any harm if we do. Better safe than sorry? An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure? etc.

Only to your wallet. You can't change the oil too much; only too little. I replace my oil and spark plugs every 50 hours; but I ride year round. Otherwise, yearly at a minimum.

Your oil is full of moisture and acids so the reason for the hours and/or 1 year is so this oil with moisture and contaminants from combustion isn't just sitting in the engine. The best practice is to do an oil change at the end of every season before putting into storage.

I change the oil, filter and plugs every year (and I only go 10-20 hours a year, max). These engines are basically abused from the minute the key turns on (high rpms before the engine is completely warmed up, high rpms for every minute the engine is running). Only thing between you and catastrophic engine failure is the oil! And it's amazing how fast these birds go through plugs. Any issues with drivability, first thing to change is always the plugs.

When I bought mine it had a bad plug, so I figured it's going to go thru plugs often. I've since added 50hrs to it , and still on the plugs I replaced. Maybe idle time kills them faster, because run mine pretty hard all the time, not much idle.
