oil block off plug- left or right?

Ok- Probably a stupid question but I want to make sure it is installed correctly;

I took off my oil pump today and pulled out the gear assembly and I am installing the plastic plug. Question, Does the flat side of the plug face the right or left as you install it.

I read it needs to face the camshaft so I am thinking left?
