OEM or aftermarket Carbon Rings?

Going to replace carbon rings on my two skis. They are $48 here or a rebuild kit that includes carbon ring, SS ring, bellows and c-clips on ebay for $56. Do aftermarket carbon rings last or is OEM the only way to go?

I prefer the ones from OSD Seadoo since the stainless hat is thicker than OEM.

How do I know if my carbon ring needs to be replaced? Is it supposed to be this loss? It looks fine..what does a bad one look like?

Carbon ring looks fine the stainless hat looks a little thin. Make sure you use a new oem bellows boot and have both driveshaft bumpers.
