Not getting fuel? HELP!!!!

Ok guys. I really need some help. would like to get ski running for labor day weekend when we go up to the lake.

Bought the ski about a month or 2 ago. Ran good when I bought it. But internal seals on crank were bad so desided to rebuild it.

Have a 95 XP 717 I just rebuilt. While motor was out, I took tank out, to clean the inside of it and replaced all the factory gray fuel lines.

Motor is back in the ski. last weekend tried to start it. No luck. cranks good, has good compression. Spray a little starting fuel, RUNS GREAT, then dies.

OK not getting fuel. Read online to cover carbs while starting to get fuel in new lines. Did that and it will start but will not stay running. Syfine (sp) fuel to carbs to make sure it will take fuel. Still wont run. Rebuild factory Carbs still no good. Put my buddys carb on from his running 95XP, still nothing.

Now it I take a seringe(sp) with fuel in it, put a little fuel down carbs. Starts right up. If I keep feeding the carbs with fuel manually, motor runs like a champ.

WHAT AM I MISSING!?!

It is really bugging me. HELP!!!! Need to get it running this weekend to start break-in.

Thank for any and all help.

You are going to have to go through the entire fuel system and start eliminating things.

First thing I would check is that you have all the hoses connected properly (going to the right places). Make sure you have the pulse line hooked up...that sort of thing.

Check your water separator/filter under the hood. Is it filling with fuel? Check the condition of the O-ring in it.

You could bypass most of the fuel circuit and run a line right from the tank to the carbs to help eliminate areas where the issue may lie.

Also, make sure you actually have turned your gas on :)

Try running it from the reserve setting if all your previous attempts have been from the main line.

After reading Main posts on this issue, I checked and double checked all clamps. Pulse line hooked up and Air does blow out hose ( when disconnected) while cranking. Will have to runn line straight from tank to carb and see if that helps.

water sparator/fuel filter has fuel in it. If I blow down fuel line, fuel will come back out.

take line from carb and blow into it. Make your you hear bubbles in the tank.
Then you line is clear and right hose hooked up...
or try running new line straight from reserve to carb

Just wondering, do these seadoos need to have a closed fuel system?

Im asking because Im just wondering if I take return line and supply line stick them directly in the fuel, if the carbs will pump fuel this way ( like the old carbed car will).

I connected the supply line right to the fuel port, sucked feul thru it. still no good. BUT i did notice something that might be of use. I hooked a clear tube up to fuel line while doing this ( so I dont drink any fuel) and noticed I can get fuel throw line but once I try to let gravity do its job, it flows back into tank? This seems odd to me.

Any ideas guys?

Woundering it something happen to sending unit in tank while it was out of tank during cleaning? it was out out tank and with out contact of fuel for about 2 weeks. Are there rubber parts inside this that might have droed out causing my issues? Just another reason why id like to stick line directly in fuel, if that would work?

Thanks guys for all the help so far.

Now that you just said that, I did notice hearing bubble when blowing in return line BUT dont know if I heard bubbles on supply line. Ill look at that first thing in am. Kinda dark here now ( means snow is on its way :()
