what would be the main signs of my engines/intake/exhaust being damaged from not being properly winterized? i got both of my skis to start, but there is oil in the hull of my 90' sp. it turns over and starts though. dont know where the oil came from. sat in non heated storage over winter in cincinnati. thanks

Its been way too cold in Cincy this year. In a non heated garage, I would guess you are going to have problems. Look for a split case on the motor. Check the water box and all exhaust parts. You will be very lucky if you dont have major damage.

Hook them to a hose and let them run a few minutes. If there is a problem, you should find it rather quickly.

Your crank bearings, and piston rings can be rusted. The engine will start... but it could eat it self shortly. (if it was rusted internally)

OR... if you didn't get anti-freeze, or drain the engines... you could find this...

That one gets interesting. You may not see it, but your hull will fill with water quickly, once you start riding.

Oil could be from a broken hose...best case, or cracked block...worst case. I would run on a garden hose before using and determine if there is any damage.
