No start

Hi new to this so going to get right to it I have a 97 seadoo xp 787 I got a new vts unit well used new and hooked it up to my ski started smoking the vts so unplugged it then went to start it and nothing all gauges work with the dess key on and off so someone told me to get another mpem so I did and another vts which works but still won’t start button clicks turns on power to the gauges with out the dess key in it vts now goes up and down put the new mpem in it and blows the 15amp fuse every time any suggestions?

First, stop messing with the VTS until you get the ski running, just unplug it completely.
Get your beeper working so you can see if you are getting the two beeps because the MPEM recognizes the key and it is ready to start.
Check all wires, fuses and grounds, this includes the stator which you could have burned up too.

It was the vts diode replaced it now it works thanks
