Hi,
New to the forum, well, I've been lrking for a while but this s my first post.
I have a 2007 Sea-doo TX that isn't charging the battery.
I have found the 3 wire yellow plug that goes to the tator and across all three cables I get 0.5Ohms.
To me it dosn't look liek the stator has gone.
So what I am asking is, where do those three cables to to.
I chased i into the harness at the top of the engine, but I don't want to start pulling the harness apart if I dont have to.
Can someone tell me what plug these 3 cable go to, or better yet what numbers on the plug to what wire.
hats for your help with this.
And if someone can lead me to where I can get a full wiring diagram for he engine it would be very helpfull. I'll even buy it if need

Cheers
Dan

if you join this forum, you can download a manual that should have a diagram for you.

OK... you have a 3 phase stator. All 3 legs are showing the same resistance is good... but did you check to ground? If it's shorted, it will show continuity to ground. (bad)

those 3 wires go to the regulator, and the regulator charges the battery. It's a simple system, and if the stator checks out, and the wires/plugs are physically good... then the regulator is bad.

Did you start the engine, and look for ~14v at 5500 rpm at the battery?

Just one thing... it's a 2007? Are you sure the battery isn't just dead? 3 years is a normal life for a watercraft battery. (they get beat up, and sit dead some times)

You should take the battery to an auto place to have them test it.
I thought the same thing, brought the battery in, it charged but they were able to tell that the battery wasn't holding a charge.

Just a thought.. I always like to start at the bottom and work my way up to the complicated things.

Did you work your way up to the parts counter and buy a new one? Did it fix you?
