I have 2001 GTI. When I connect the lanyard to the terminal all the electrical systems start to work and the ski starts fine but the buzzer never sounds. I thought that as soon as you install the lanyard you should hear two short beeps. Does anyone know how I could go about trouble shooting this problem? The buzzer is located in the handle bars, but I think that it wouldn't be to hard to get to. Is it possible that the buzzer itseld just needs to be replaced? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If you can locate it see if you can fell it vibrate when the lanyard is attached. It sounds like it is just a ban buzzer. You really need to replace it as it also beeps if the engine over heats as a warning. You could get on on our "PARTS" site if yours is bad.

Thanks for the reply. I took the buzzer out of the stearing column and I did not hear or feel any vibration when I connected the lanyard. I am not sure if it is the buzzer itself or if it isn't getting the signal to buzz. I went ahead and ordered a new buzzer assembly from Seadoo warehouse. Hopefully this will resolve the issue. Is it very common for a buzzer to just stop working?

It's kinda like flip a coin...some members never have to replace them and I hear some do... It isn't a usual problem, but it does happen.
