No Beeps..

Whenever i put my key onto my gti it beeps and all of the gauge lights come on then i start it. Now the beeping stopped, the lights come on and it still starts up but since like 4 days ago there is no more beep. Does anyone know why or what this means?

Beepers fail as skis get older. About $10 at radio shack. With ski armed or running,
if you pull off the Temp Sensor wire on head and ground to a head bolt, the beeper should sound. Bills86e

i just bought 2- 98 gtx limited. 1 has beep(s) but engine locked up.
other silent but runs great. i dont under stand your solution. can u give a little more detail. i dont know where or why it should beep(s) or what part i should rob from dead machine. (temp sensor??)

Beeper/buzzer is inside the handlebar pad where it can easily be heard. The wires
are loomed down the center of the steering column then connect to the electrical
wireing harness. A DETENT TOOL is available from Radio Shack for pushing the pins
out of the plastic connector clip if you desire to pull the wires thru the column. Note
each wires orientation if you do that. Some people just connect a new beeper under
the sterring consul as a easy location. Hope this Helps! Bills86e
